Greetings to you in the name of Jesus,

As a listener to New Life Christian Center recordings, you might be interested in who we are and how we conduct our services. New Life Christian Center is what is often referred to as a “Charismatic” or “interdenominational” church. Now while we shy away from labels and “boxes” we do want to answer your questions. The term “Charismatic” refers to our belief that Jesus Christ is the same today as He always has been and that by the Holy Spirit; He is still moving in the earth to save people from their sins, to offer healing to people, and to manifest Himself through the gifts of the Spirit. The term “interdenominational” means that we are comprised of people from a wide variety of backgrounds. In our congregation are people from dozens of different religious backgrounds as well as those who previously had no religious training or affiliation at all. We are not an “exclusive” group who thinks we are the only true Christians, but we gladly acknowledge as fellow members of the Body of Christ all people who confess Jesus as their Lord. Hopefully our teaching materials reflect these ideals and attitudes.

Any time a small church sets out to make materials available from their services it creates some level of difficulty.

  • Who are we to offer material? Well we are just normal Christians with a desire to offer what God says to us – to you. Some of it will hit you hard; some of it will be old news. Nonetheless we offer what we have to you with a humble heart that says, “We really aren’t anything – but our God is a big God Who uses willing and available vessels.”
  • Our material isn’t as professional as some I’ve seen, what do we do about that? I think that probably bothers us more than it does anyone else. Truth offered in a pretty package is no truer than truth offered without a package. So our packaging is handled in a way to minimize expense while still giving “honor to God’s message through professional presentation.”
  • Who would want to listen anyway? What a struggle it is to determine who would want to listen. The goal of course it not to establish what human will listen to the teaching but rather to make sure that God is listening. God listens as we honor Him in preparation and presentation. So in the end it is not really about who might listen – it is only worth listening to if God is honored.

We would love to hear from you and to discuss with you your needs in the area of Christian teaching materials. We are here to help and open ourselves up to you and your needs.

Thank you for considering “New Life,”

Pastor Glen Kline
